How To Defeat Lady Comstock's Ghost At The Gate ? - Arghhhh.....

I have been trying for over an hour. I shoot, die. Shoot, die. Shoot, die.....

Sometines she summons that other levitating ghost, but and I take some shots at that, but I just cannot seem to get their heatlth below 1/2 or so. My tacitc is to use Murder of Cros and the mosqito to keep the spectres busy,

What am doing wrong? I am really frustrated. Reall, really ftrustrated.

Use Devil's Kiss on Lady Comstock. She takes extra damage from fire. I mean spam it really fast when she starts to resurect somebody. You can also us upgraded Charge which gives you some invulnerability for a second and recharges your Shield. Yu do have to wait until she stops and summons the dead before you shot her. Attacks at others times don't cause damage. sm

There's a guide here in the Steam guides that shows how to beat her w/o firing a shot...check it out (although it's kind of a cheesy tactic, I admit, but I use it...lol).

It's called..."Beat Lady Comstock without firing a shot"...go figure.

hi, just finished the game here. I used possess to buy sometimes, shotguns the adds and snipe her down. hope it helps

Here's the tactic I used in 1999 Mode:

1. Equip Shock Jockey (Does not need any upgrades for it to work for this)
2. Equip any weapon you prefer to use (Upgrades shouldn't matter)
3. Use Shock Jockey on a ghost and kill it while it is stunned.
4. Notice how the body gets burned away. Lady Comstock can't resurrect a burnt body.
5. Repeat step 3 until Lady Comstock is alone.
6. Kill her easily.

Know where she spawns, and lay devil kiss traps fully upgraded (I usually use like 3 for normal, 6+ for 1999). She simply dies. Failing that, like the guy above stated, shes very vulnerable to fire, so just use devils kiss.

I hated the siren so much my first run too, lol. Used to actually snipe her, and kill her undead as they charged me from a corner, but thats sloooow.

Wow - thanks for all of the tips. The game really has not been diifficult at all up to this point (the way I like it honestly!) and this battle just came out of nowhere. To me this has the feel of the end battles of Bioshcock 2 - crazy battle set-pieces that were exponentially far more difficult than the rest of the game.

I don't know if it's been mentioned here. This battle was frustrating as hell especially in 1999 mode where my shield would instantly break and I would be dead in two seconds. I tried shock jockey which didn't work out as someone suggested. I tried Devil's Kiss and Devi's Kiss & Shock Jockey traps, headshots with Handcannon. I tried other weapons and vigors plus traps and concluded this is too much a pita to do fairly the traditional way.

It was taking way too much time to and chip her health away until she was dead. If I screwed up it would be my death and her regaining health. As everyone knows dying in this game is quite easy. That's why they tacked on a shield mechanic. I could not afford to keep dying with limited silver eagles. I found a video where someone upgraded their charge vigor, upgraded Hail Fire damage and equipped four specific pieces of gear.

I did just that and she can be beat in fifteen to twenty seconds tops. That combo also took a lot of frustration out of other battles such as Patriots and Handymen albeit it seems less effective on the latter it did make those less frustrating as well.

I feel since the AI is cheap and unfair that I should be able to cheese through as well.

On the third fight I ended up using Return to Sender to absorb damage from the grunts and fire it back at her.* That worked pretty well and I didn't die.

That does wonders in all the other god awful lady comstock fights as well.

Thats a smart tactic, i used it too at the safe, but i think it is a bit long and exhausting, what i used was a fully upgraded charge(more damage and shield recharge on hit) and briefly skin(gear), just charge at her , shoot for about 3 seconds and charge again, repeat until she is dead, this worked for me in 1999 mode, just make sure you have a lot of upgrades and infusions

My personal fav is to upgrade the sniper rifle first, then you will only make damage right when she in reviving the dead, you will notice she is vulnerable cause she isn't translucid anymore.


Shoot to the head and you're done, with few shots you will defeat her

Use a Volley Gun,Hail Fire,or RPG against her minions.And then begin to shoot her with a Shotgun or Hand Cannon.The Hand Cannon is the most effective gun(that doesn't throw grenades).Also,never use a Machine Gun, Carbine,Sniper Rifle,or Pistol against them.You will lose(that happened to me once).Also,use Devils Kiss, Murder of Crows,Possesion,Shock Jockey,and Return to Sender are the best vigors to use for this.Bucking Bronco and Undertow are not really effective in this battle.Murder of Crows didnt always work for me here,but it can work a little.
