Stuck in the Good Times club
I am attempting to access Chen Lin's cell and Elizabeth ALWAYS gets stuck in "combat mode" whenever I enter the cellblock, leaving me unable to request her to break the lock on the cell door. Has anyone found a solution for this? I've reloaded the game multiple times, exited and re-entered the Good Times club multiple times and nothing seems to matter. This is beyond frustrating that a game breaking glitch like this would make it through QA testing. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! digital paperweight!

Try validating your game files and restarting steam.

sadly that did nothing, I'm going to try the game again and see what happens. This is ridiculous

if validating and restarting steam doesn't work you should try to uninstall all updates and reinstall them, before uninstalling the game entirely.

Uninstalling won't help.

The reason the glitch happens is this. Normally, there are two guards patrolling the cells. You can only unlock the cells once you kill those two guards. However, if you get the code book and then immediately go back to the clock shop to use it, the guards won't spawn when you return and you can't then unlock the cells.

The solution is to load an earlier save, fight through the Good Times Club again, and this time only go back to the clock shop after you've unlocked the cells.

Why would you leave once you got the codebook anyway? Seems like a lot of unnecessary backtracking.

If it's your first-time playthrough, you don't know if or when there's going to be a point of no return. It seems safer to go back for side quests at the earliest opportunity.

Exactly, I did return as well. Possibly after killing the two, however.

I do have a problem just a little later on - I got into the cell #9, I am on the lowest floor and I already switched the button on, the ligth turned on, but I cannot get any further! The navigation help (N key) still points towards the switch and journal still says to find Chen's cell.

Is my problem possibly related this? Or did I miss anything else?
Thanks for any help!
