The timeline in this confuses me
Ok, so as far as I know, Atlus should have already known the "Ace in the hole" the whole time. This game takes place shortly before the attack on the Kasmir, so late 1958/ very early 1959. Frank Fontaine was "killed" in late September of 1958 with Fontaine's department store being sunk shortly there after.

Since Jack was a scheme created by Fontaine it would stand to reason that he would have known this phrase before he sent Jack up in a Bathysphere. We know that Fontaine created Jack's like for him from scratch. He would have had to have known some kind of trigger to do this. Do you really think that he trusted Suchong with all of his work? Look at how he treats Elizabeth after she finishes her job, or how he treats Jack after he finishes his. There is no way that Fontaine would send up Jack without knowing.

Jack also already has the code written down with a picture of his "family" on the plane. It makes more sense that Fontaine would have sent Jack up there with it. Or are we to believe that Elizabeth smuggled that note onto the plane? That's really asking for a strtch of the imagination. I mean, in the DLC we hear Atlas say something along the lines of "Now we just need to find a way to get him on the plane". Are the devs really trying to say in all of his master plan he never thought of a way to bring Jack back? And that without Elizabeth he never would have come back? Lest we forget that Atlas knew Jack was coming and was waiting for him in the beginning. If Elizabeth did this he would have had no way of knowing of his arrival. Even is sending Jack out was an emergency, then he had no contigency plan for getting him back out.

I'm sorry, the timeline is just a bit screwy and it seems like really bad writing.

When Elizabeth tells Fontaine the phrase, Jack hasn't been sent up in the plane. (Fontaine[after beling told phrase]: "Now all we had to do is send that freak of nature up on an airplace")
So I believe Fontaine was waiting until he go the phrase before sending Jack uo.

The whole plane scene I think was being played out of order from the present.

That how I see it. Take it for what you will. :)
What doesn't make sense though is how did he have the note written after Jack was sent up there? There was a civil war going on with all bathyspheres being shut down. The only way Jack could know to board that plane and have that note is if Atlas sent him with it ealier. Note, Jack was sent out of Rapture in early 1968. This was done while Atlas was still Fontaine.

I easily figured out everything in the ending except the plane.

How come it took Fontaine 1 year to get Jack on a plane?

"Sorry, this flight is fully booked-"
"WHAT? Aagh, this one-"
"Sorry, we do not allow genetic freaks of nature on board."
"AAAAAAAAAARGH!"
"Sorry, we do not crash into the ocean for free."
*FIGHT*

First of all Atlas DIDNT created Jack!!!
He is the son of Ryan and Jasmine Jolene and Fontaine bought the baby from Jasmine!!
The bathysperes are also not being sut down, they just work with Ryan's DNA.

And the most important, we dont know if this is the Rapture of Bioshock 1 or just another Rapture (constace and variables!)

Well, he didn't buy the baby, they just extracted the embryo.

Right, I forgot, Tenenbaum bought the embryo on behalf of Fontain
I guess by create I meant that it was because of Fontaine that Jack had his acdelerated aging. I would think that Jack would have had to leave before the shutdown. If it were after than that would raise Ryan's suspicions as to why a bathysphere was being used. When Jack first arrives back he has no idea who Jack is. He only begins to put the pieces together while you're in Rapture. You can see this with board which has pictures of Jack on the secruity feed linking him to others in Rapture. If his genetic code had left under alarm, I think he would have found out.

This Atlas also seems really sloppy. He doesn't seem like the same Atlas that killed Diane just for hearing his real voice. He wasn't a risk taker. If he thought something was a problem he got rid of it. So you're telling me the whole time that Suchong worked on Jack he never once realized that Elizabeth wasn't his lab assistant? And that he never thought to get to get the phrase before he faked his own death? It's not like communication is hard. Suchong is in contact with you the whole game.

This one's just as cruel but an idiot.
