Is the DLC worth it ?
Have purchased to much ♥♥♥♥ DLC to throw money away on more. How much extra play time does it add ? Has the DLC gone on sale ?

I'm curious too. I heard BAS is pretty short, and it's more focused on storytelling this time around than actual gameplay.

I'd like to try it out, but there's no way in hell I'm paying $15 for it as it is right now.

Honestly? I like BAS:E1, It is pretty short if you just run and gun and somewhat longer if you look around, enjoy the scenery, listen to all the conversations going on and such.

It really makes the Nostalgia bubble up as Rapture is beautifully done, ammo, and supplies aren't as readily availible and you feel a little more at home in the game if you played the first 2 Bioshocks.

Up to you if its worth the current price, but I would recommend the DLC because its well done and I genuinely cannot wait for Episode 2.

If anyone is interested, I have a tradable copy of the DLC that I am looking to let go for 4 TF2/Dota 2/CS:GO treasure keys.

Summary: If your play style is to explore, listen to NPC conversations, find the hidden goodies everywhere, and stealth through levels, Burial at Sea is an excellent DLC for you. However, if your play style is to run and gun and charge through content, you're going to wish there was more combat. Also, buy the Season Pass instead of purchasing this separately.

The only complaint about this DLC is its length. Depending on your play style, you can finish it in about an hour or upwards of six hours.

For my 5.5 hour run on Hard, I rate this at 9.1. But, if I had run through it in an hour my first time, I would have rated it at 8.3.

Details on review score---
Entertainment: 10
It was a lot of fun seeing Rapture in its prime. The combat was more challenging than in BSI's main campaign.

Graphics: 9
Great detail. I'm not sure if this or BSI's main campaign has the best looking UE3 content, because they're both very good.

Sound: 9
Although the ambient sounds were good, the music was what made this stand out.

Design and Gameplay: 9
Combat was much more challenging than in Infinite's main campaign. Although you still have a sky-hook, it's not as over powered as it was in the campaign, because the enemies seem to be able to hit you while jumping now. Also, players can carry all of the weapons they pick up now instead of the two-weapon limit in the main campaign via the new Weapon Wheel.

Game Length: 2-8
As I said above, if you explore and sneak, this content will take you a fairly long time. If you follow the arrow and charge through quickly, it'll be over in an hour or two.

To answer the OP's last question, the DLC was on sale January 1st from 5am to about noon EST. The season pass was accidentally marked down from $20 to $5 during one of the 8 hour flash sales, which is when I picked everything up while giggling like a schoolgirl. I'm guessing since it was New Years Day they were running on a skeleton crew or something and didn't notice the pricing error for 7 hours. Other than that, no, it hasn't officially been on sale yet. Maybe once BAS part 2 comes out they'll start including discounts for the DLC whenever they put the main game on sale.

the DLC is short - they concentrated at a complectly new enviroment and setting instead of only recycle the "old" setting... so, if you want to buy action - no it's not worth

if you play the bioshock games for the story - it is!!
and with the season pass it's more than worth

imo

Seeing as Ep2's still not out I'd keep an eye for Ep1 in a sale. It's a bit short, even if you do take your time but it's still good.

Only if you purchase the season pass. Otherwise I wouldn't really recommend it. It has quality just like the original ''parent'' game but without the season pass the DLC's offer little content for too much money.

I would suggest looking at the Season Pass.

This contains Clash in the Clouds (an Arena based combat game with a Museum with unlockable exitbits and a few extras), Burial at Sea Part 1 and Burial at Sea part 2.

I got a good few hours out of Burial at Sea and it was more fun than I thought it would be. I knew that Burial at Sea part 1 would be short, so I took my time on Medium difficulty and it took me 3 hours to complete.

For any weakness in Burial at Sea, I enjoyed it. It continues the story of Elizabeth and she gets some great lines in BaS Pt 1. You also get the Weapon Wheel, so you can hold all the guns, but I still found myself running low on ammo. Which is how it should be in Rapture.

I am now looking forward to Burial at Sea part 2 when it is released later this year.

So I think the season pass is worth the money.

It is totally worth it, this game is amazing! play it as much as possible

I would like to play it, but from what I've heard I think it's worth waiting until it goes on sale since it's so short.
