I'm not that far anyway, at least I hope, (just entered the heroes museum)
By the way, are the powers included in the DLC alwready in the based game ?
Thx

I change the topic title to depict that.
It was the same int he previous Bioshock, but powers (plasmid) were good enough to enable some strategies.
They feel very weak in Infintie, and I'd rather shoot evrything in my sight with guns.
Less powers also means less protection, so you can''t not get hurt.
So overall I try to find some cover, not to get hit too much, be in the end I go in front of the ennemies, get hit, and fire back on the oppenents...not very smart or entertainng, it feels like a generic FPS witrh no cover system...
I miss the stealth opportunities the older Bioshock offered.
In fact I was playing Bioshock 1 and 2 with a stealth and melee build, hope I will be able to do that later in Infinite.
But I might forget how Bioshock 1 and 2 offer less option at the begening of the game, to give you plenty the more you play.
Hope It will be the same.
Mr Mc Suave => Thx for the link, I indded checked those items, and theya re only enhanced version of gears alwready int he main game...therefore, I am not interested in them anymore.
Dishonored is a good comparison. That game was also pretty easy if you took the path of least resistance, but the gameplay systems lend to a lot of interesting player strategies and scenarios. A stealth/pacifist playthrough is entirely optional but is a challenging and rewarding way to play.
This is a step backwards from Bioshock 1 and 2 I think, which had some shortcomings but was much more inspired by an older RPG philosophy of giving the player optional ways to solve a problem.
The incredible environnements, the atmosphere, the immersion, the musics, all of that me want to play more...can't say the same regarding the gameplay...
Can't say about the story so far, but the pitch is very interesting, I'm expecting good surprises on that part.
The only thing I like in the gameplay are the new finish mooves that really look cool...But you waist way too much time with it before you have ccan control your character again.
Most of the time it enables the ennemies to come closer, and i get free hit just after the finish moove ><
So I just use it on the last ennemy now...
And it is not really usefull, just neat.
Concerning Dishonored, I was blown away by this game from the start.
Yes it is easyn but it does not matter at all.
The challenge in this game is to manage to compelte your missions and defeating or escaping oppenents the way you want to !
You have options.
You don't in Bioshock Infinite, and I agree with you, so far it loosk like a step back in the franchise.
Though it could be an early judgement, I'll wait to finish the game before having a final opinion.
Edit:
Ok i just got a sniper Rifle...and this action in this game is becoming even more stupid, I think I'm stopping here, this is a crap game.
I introduciton was nice, but I maybe foudn it a little too long, and there are many moments when you do nothing but walking peacefully.
It was ok but I was impatient to play the action scenes.
Now I know those exploration moments are the best parts of the game.
Yes, yes and yes.
You can swap around Guns and Vigors between rounds, without having to worry about dropping the guns that you have upgraded.
This gave me a better understanding of the weapons and Vigors. So I had more fun with the combat in the main game.
I think that with Infinite, they didn't want to do a carbon copy of the original Bioshock and went elsewhere with the combat and enviroment. But things get progressivly more 'Bioshock,' as the gameplay is tweaked for BaS Ep 1 and then tweaked more for BaS Ep 2.
Yes but I should not feel to be forced to play something I don't like, hoping it will get better...
I feel I am waisting my time with this game.
If I also waste it here, to explain to you what i think of this game, it is because I don't understand...
Why did this game got so many good reviews from sites AND players ?
I thought it was going to be awesome !
Is that really the Goty 2013 ? And is this a Bioshock Game ?
The more I play the more I find it looks like a very very boring Call of duty game...
But the difficulty is not even the core problem, the gameplay is sooo basic...
Powers are so useless you almost forget you have some.
