How do you use 1st aid kits?

OK, had trouble playing game after getting about 3/4's of trhe way through, would not load right (was a glitched save file) so I recently resumed game. Can not recall how to use a first aid kit and see no place in key bindings to use it. Sorry for such a basic question, feel pretty dumb.

In BSI you don't have an invantory of Health Kits. You can use one if you find one (use key) or Elizabeth can throw you one. sm

Only in Burial at Sea episode 2 can you use first aid kits, by pressing G.
