Should "Downloadable Content" be greyed out in my in-game Menu?
Was FINALLY able to get Steam to 'install' the DLC, or at least that's what it claims when I R-click Bioshock and choose 'DLC.'

But when I start up the game, on the billboard Menu, "Downloadable Content" is still greyed out. So now what?

One's things for absolutely sure -- if I can't get this to work, there's no way in hell I'll be buying anything else from Steam.

Try a repair install. it should fix any corrupted files and restore and missing ones. Right click on the game, choose properties, go to local files, then choose 'verify integrity of game cache'

Thanks, but already tried that (check integrity thing). That's one of the things I tried to get it to say 'installed' under DLC properties... but like I said, it's still not showing up within the game menu, on that billboard.

Stupid question, but I have to ask so we can get it working. After you got the season pass, did the game have a large update? The update should be the DLC. Infinite with all of the DLC is roughly 35GB. If it's not taking up that much then DLC didn't actually install.

No, I got the weapons DLC first. Only $5. Was also gonna get the one w/ challenge levels, glad I didn't now.

The last time I tried to uninstall / reinstall the DLC, there was a progress bar at the bottom as it downloaded.

Uninstalled DLC. Opened DLC folder, deleted all files. Reinstalled DLC. (files back in DLC folder)

In-game menu still shows "DLC" greyed out. Oh well.

I always assumed people pirate software cause they don't want to pay for it. It's probably cause of crap like this -- it's the only way they can get the thing to work.

If you mean the Columbia's Finest DLC, then it won't show up in the DLC menu. That's for Clash in the Clouds and Burial at Sea 1 & 2.

Columbia's Finest is automatically given/found in the game.

YES! Columbia's Finest! That's what I installed. Good, so it is installed, just doesn't show up via the Menu DLC option. Good enough, then. Thnx!

Ok, well starting a new game did start by giving me 2 weapons (Comstock's Broom, for example) but I don't have the 500 silvers. Maybe I get them later? Will keep playing and see.

Oh, I thought you meant like Clash in the Clouds or Burial at Sea. Because you have to select those from the DLC menu. As for the silver eagles, I think you get them near a restaurant early on in the game.
