Quick question about Battleship Bay (small spoilers)

I just got to battleship bay, and I want to know how it can be part of columbia, if there's water. I thought columbia was a floating city, but how can a floating city have beaches? Floating oceans?

You know how there are giant indoor pools that mimic beach/ocean?

Kind of like that. It's a tourist attraction type of thing.... a theme park of sorts.

Yeah, if you notice the 'ocean' only goes out about 50 metres.

You can actually see the place from several other locations in Columbia. It's just a kind of lake with a beach on one side and a wterfall at the other end. The water that goes down at one side just gets catched and pumped up again.
There's even a room with several big engines, which I assume, are supposed to be the pumps. It's Columbias version of a hotel or spa I guess.

There are similar systems in some hotels throughout the real world. Singapore is kinda famous for it. There are lots of pictures on google.
