No Remaster For Infinite On Pc?
i was going to get bioshock infinite remaster for the pc but i cant find it. i would have played all of them if the collection was available but its separated. i might as well get it on console since it comes with all the games and all the dlc. i never played through any other bioshock besides infinite. i remember getting it for free on ps3. then when i heard there was a remaster i decided id get the collection on pc see what 1 and 2 is about and play infinite for memories with all the DLC i could not afford when it came out (the sea one) im probably going to have to wait afew months then it will release in a collection on pc if not i'll get it on ps4.

Infinite is not remastered on PC. Only Bioshock 1, Bioshock 2 and Minervas Den

Wouldn´t count on it

Statement about Infinite in the Remaster-Announcement

*BioShock Infinite is not being remastered on PC because it already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings.

The console "remaster" is actually just a port of the PC version. So no point getting the console version. Especially the PS4 version is a bit shaky. For example it doesn't have anisotropic filtering, so all of it's textures become a big pixel mud if you look a farther away.
Get the PC version on sale, it looks better than the console remaster.

I dont think theres anything to "remaster" about this game. unless they change the combat entirly this game is solid as it is.

Simply, it improves the quality of textures in a game at a fairly modest performance cost.

AF settings can be quite subtle. I don't always notice the difference myself. It generally makes the textures sharper and clearer and improves the level of observable detail

Because its late and I'm rubbish at explaining things, here's an article with a few nice comparison shots...

thanks for explaining. i kinda got into pc gaming near the end of 2015. i bought the parts i needed, watch 4 youtube videos on how to build them and finished it in 1 day. so i dont know much about pc gaming. i know what some of the parts are now and what some of them do. but things like post fx and distance scaling are confusing

The DLC's for Infinite? They are listed on the store page for Infinite. If you already own the base game then they are included in the Season pass.

If you are refering to the remaster: again, Bioshock Infinite has not been remastered for PC as it is already up to the standard 2K required. Thus, its DLC has not been remasted either!

pc still has better graphics than remastered. if they did it the pc version would look worse :)

That video is comparison of Xbox One to PS4 versions. Do you have one comparing console to PC?

Haha, only about twenty seconds of footage! So that's why I missed it.

Its only pretty small details but I can see why if you wanted the highest fidelity it would be an issue. Let me know if you find one thats more detailed.

Give it time. Compare the first games on the Xbox 360 to the last ones. MASSIVE improvement as devs optimise to the hardware. I think we'll see a similar jump this time around, except it will really affect PC's in a positive way as developers utilise more cores on the CPU and we start seeing much more multi-threaded development (which is much more easily transferred now that we're all running the same basic hardware)

But who knows what PC technology we'll see by then!

Anyway, that's a complete aside to current thread topic. So let's avoid any further derailment! :)
