My BioShock Infinite doesn't work anymore. Can't start the game.
For a longer time I didn't play BioShock Infinite, now a few months later I tried to play again, but it crashs. When I start the game it stops working, crash and Microsoft sends a report that BioShock Infinite doesn't work anymore. I use a Lenovo PC with Windows 10 64-bit on the latest version like my Nvidia GeForce 920M too.

I tried a lot, like re-installing BioShock Infinite (3x), starting it on Benchmark, deinstalled Avira, checked programms in background and stopped them, deinstalled McAfee, tried to play it with compatibility mode windows 7/8/Vista Pack2.

When I verify the steam data it says its alright, but when I try to find a solution in compatibility mode, it says there is uncomplitated data which is also not compatibale with this PC.

I don't know what to do, nothing works for me. Please help.

Since you were able to play BSI at one point and can't now, think off what has changed since then. Have you had an update to Windows fail. What new programs have been installed. Have any setting been changed, is there any new hardware. Something in there is likely the problem. sm

Still doesn't work. I checked the programms I installed since I last was able to play and deinstalled them, but BSI still crashs.

But I noticed a lot of Windows updates that crashed a few days ago. With them I saw the first failure of BSI, with the reason that the KERNELBASE.dll is corrupted.
Do anyone know how to repair these data?

You should be able to find a guid on Youtube to fix it or the Microshoft database should have a fix as well. sm

Make sure you fix the windows update problems first.
Added -dx9 to the Launch Options ?

Here is the uptdate about my problem. It is finaly working!
My computer had installed a corrupted version of the last windows uptdate with the KB number 4089848 and the update before. I searched a long time until I found which update is responsible for my issue.
But when I found it, I deinstalled them and no it is working again, also after I installed them again.

The cumulative updates KB4088776 and KB4089848. Both are form march 2018. You can uninstall them in the update settings. There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube.
