I've already finished the game once but I still don't know for sure. Not everyone is as diligent as you in finding out every part of the story. So since I didn't find it out during my first playthrough I don't expect to find it during my second and thus ask for a reasonably short explaintion here on the forum.
When Elizabeth finds a large model of the syphon near the end of the game, there are a number of panels around the edge of the room that depict the events of Bioshock Infinite, as seen by Comstock the prophet.
But earlier in the game there is an audio log by one of Comstock’s soldiers, saying about how the ambush at the ticket booth didn’t go quite as Comstock saw it. So Comstock is never completely sure which version of Columbia he is looking at.
