Just beat atelier ryza
Somewhat enjoyed it. Os this an ok game to pick up on and play more atelier?

It's not the same as other Atelier games. It is a town development sim spin-off. If you want Atelier game with similar mechanics as main line of games (rpg exploration+crafting) then choose another game from the series, if you want to try some other game style with guest characters from all other Atelier games then this one will be a good game to try.

Well it has guest characters, so that mean Ryza, Lent, Tao and such?

No Ryza obviously as she is from the game which was released after Nelke's.
