Soooo many glitches (sadly many are years old)
I was banned from the discord server from reporting a similar issue.

Today I lost a hand that should have been a split pot. We both had a single 6 as our hold card, which matched a 6 on the flop. For some reason only one of us was paid. The old player.log file was far easier to read showing the exact card value and suit (ie. 6c or 6d), not it uses CardID to which I have no reference to provide proof. (I was banned for pointing out that the game is made by LuckyVR not PokerStars and didn't use the same algorithms as the other PokerStars games given the license agreement, after several non-developers insisted that all bugs related to that were resolved years before the VR game was launched. I complained to the DEVs over email and they acted like spoiled children, and I honestly gave up on the game for a while; as is I had to deal with enough kids while playing).

Granted given the inconsistency switching between referencing players as seat or player depending on the line. Flooding the logs with waits. Numerous file errors. The list really does go on.

The old player.log also would include an ID for that hand, not that it mattered as the servers never seemed to log them properly.

Sadly this is not the only bug. Tables have always been choppy performance wise, at least on Steam when a Quest user joins the table. With TAA enabled, in your private suite everything works fine at 90hz, but joining a table you are locked to a stuttering 60hz max unless you watch menu is open (or you turn off TAA) and the game isn't even spiking resources. Then again the game is extremely poorly optimized. It is not uncommon for this to lead to extremely slow loading (even from SSD) and for other players to partially or completely not appear in the game.

The game also crashes regularly. They are slowly replacing every bit of the original code, which is good don't get me wrong. But the bits left definitely cause problems.

Then again since they re-embraced the PokerStars name instead of moving towards "Casino One", they have been providing more regular bug fixes and are actually getting social media references from PokerStars (The entire casino one thing seemed like they might be losing the PokerStars naming rights, and finally worked out a deal but that is just my guess). Perhaps the PokerStars parent company is forcing them to improve their stability so it doesn't reflect negatively on the brand (or perhaps they got a new dev that actually cares, or any other of a million possibilities but I am am happy for the improvements). Sadly there are still millions of miles to go.

Though they did fix my lifetime challenge of winning my first hand (only took a couple years), though now daily and weekly challenges no longer show up. Avatar issues especially with hair poking through hats (though they did fix me seeing out above the hat brim). There are also numerous issues with various motion controllers that the tracking rings don't let you put your hands close enough together to manage some of the props correctly. (Not going to even get into how after 6+ months I never received my Discord props before I was banned.)

Then the shortsightedness of not being able to link Steam and Quest accounts (I am not paying for chips on both) or having a proper friends list built into the app. The ignoring steam users when it comes to Avatars (Extremely limited and in most cases stereotyped options, as they expect everyone to just make their on avatar in the Quest, but steam doesn't have that.) Focusing on making everything extremely shiny and reflective (reflections are more graphics intensive) instead of any level of realism. Each room with ever more elaborate and annoying sound effects and other visual distractions (only one table option without them and even it has its own issues), then again you can't select the cable you play on for a tournament. (I would totally mute 99% of of the random stuff flying by making loud humming sounds).

I think after my experiences recently showing how far they need to go I am going to take yet another break from the platform and hope for the future. It isn't like they welcome by feedback anyways. I am not even getting into the issues I have run into with Craps or Roulette.

Anyways, hopefully the bugs are investigated (I would offer my player.log but no reason to post something that large here and discord isn't an option). But I genuinely expect to be ignored. Sadly I was really hoping for change, but they can't even get the ratio of avatar to table space right. I get some of the older casinos in Canada have small tables due to limited space. But most major casinos I am not sticking my arm through the person next to me to play. And my chips will never be extremely glossy and pass through one another due to bad coding. I also would never make multiple 1-5 chip stacks that I can't reorganize. Then again I also avoid no-limit tables where someone has out 100 times the chips I do so they can buy the pot every game, or rapid tournaments where people go in every hand because they can. (Actually the more I write the more I think giving this game another chance was a mistake.)

Good luck everyone and happy gaming.
