Pokerstars VR - Oculus- It downloads updates but doesnt seem to apply them. Mine still shows New Years Theme.

I see the updates listed in the Steam news and update list, but my Pokerstars is still showing prior themes, currently and for the last 6 months it still shows the New Years Theme at loading. The lobby enviorment doesnt show the themes or props still. ive missed out on previous holiday and event themes. is there a way to manually apply new themes or should I try uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game. i just wanted to be confident i wont lose my progress. Thanks to anyone that can point me in the right direction.
