how to move back from table?

When i join a game, i am right at the table, almost in it. How do i move back or reset position in game? I know i can physically move further back, but i shouldnt always have to if i didnt start so close to the table. using oculus option to reset position obviously doesnt do anything.

If you're on oculus, press down both of your joysticks, it will reset your view

For WMR and Vive touchpads, press down on both touchpads at the same time to reset your view.
