Question for real poker players

When playing PokerStars VR, do you adjust how you would normally play? Do you play a lot tighter since a lot more players are going to be calling pre-flop with nothing? Do you raise more than you normally would with decent hands? I need some advice, because when I go into this with a decent understanding of real money poker strategy, I find myself losing money to players playing silly hands that you would rarely see at a real money table.

Any strategies in real poker won't work here, for the reasons you described. Players just bluffing and tossing clods because it's fake money.

Yeah, I'd still like to find a way to be "good" at this game though. I guess just play super tight, AKs TT+ then go all in pre? xD

If you're looking to increase your personal stats, and play to win for entertainment, then why not? AK, maybe wait before all in on pre, just to draw out a few more bets from players.

Really, just do whatever you want. Things you wouldn't normally get away with in real poker. My GF refuses to play VR poker. She's a manager at a casino, and can't stand the way VR players bet.

I now play 'single player poker' against the computer in different game, and rarely come back to VR poker anymore.

I play this game a lot and also play live poker. I'd play the same as i do live poker and it generally works out overall in the long run

Sry but i think JukeBox is really wrong and A.Chang is really right with the keyword long run. Just google tight agressive poker (TAG). *You could play loose agressive (LAG) if you were a really good player overall. That's how you make bank with noobs. I made 150k playing 5k tables in 2 days playing against those kind of players and in real life on the NL200 table player will play like in PS VR (I make a couple of thousands each years against those players). Easy money on the long run but you cannot tilt on the swings and you need to have the nerve to accept the loss when you go all ins pre flop of AA vs 72 off and they hit a flush. Replay this hand 10times and tell me i'm wrong.

A small trick against a table of real noobs donk caller when you have the nut on the flop/turn just go all in sometime (don't do this too much or they will stop paying). you'll have 1-2-3 sometime 4 callers (anyone who touched anything) and that's what you want. Even if you lose to a lucky river from time to time in the long run you'll win way more.

If i could play in real life ALWAYS with players who play like in PS VR i'd be rich.
