Release date update
Can we get another release estimate? Reason for the delay? Any development updates that can be communicated?

Full text of the press release we sent yesterday.

34BigThings is sorry to announce that the launch date for Redout: Space Assault has been delayed.

"Ever since its reveal, fans have been waiting with bated breath for this game.” says Valerio Di Donato, 34BigThings’ CEO, “We are committed to delivering them the best experience possible, both in terms of content and polish. We know that fans have high expectations for Space Assault, and we want to give them a game worthy of the passion and trust they have in the franchise.”

"In its current state, the game is not realizing its full potential.” continues Di Donato, “We want to add more features that will make the experience better, as well as strengthening the storytelling. Game development is a rocky road riddled with challenges, but we will keep working at the best of our abilities to create a game that will blow players away.”

I am as disappointed as you are, although I don't want to squander the potential of this game. We did the same with Redout, and (more or less) everyone was happy in the end, so I'm sure we can deliver this time too.
Thanks for your patience <3

It's cool keep on the good work. A good game out of the game beat a bad game becoming good with patches, just in term of community since a lot of people will drop it during the process. See : Anthem.

when will release

I was personally hoping for a StarFox 64 or Rogue Squadron like game. Theres a big void and need in steam for rail/dog fighting games. I would buy it twice over if this game was that. I believe thats the direction you should go. Hopefully this helps you Devs.

Interesting choice of launch window, they'll be directly competing with Everspace 2 which will very likely go into Early access around the same time.
