Why dont the blue orbs split at an intersection?

I dont understand why in this case the blue orbs dont split at the intersection. Can anyone explain?

Hmm I would have expected them too. However since both paths have zero resistance (the wires and ammeter are ideal in this sense) it is somewhat undefined to ask how much of the current goes one way or the other (I think...)
