Some people will buy this to express gratitude for fun they had playing this long ago.
Some people will still play on MAME or whatever, but justify themselves by buying a legal copy of the game.
Some people will buy to show that interest in those games still exist, and maybe they will receive a whole new game soon enough, just like it happened to Megaman (it is also a Capcom game) which just received 11th game of the main series this October!
So yeah, while you can still play on MAME, download it off the web for free, like any other game, if you enjoy(ed) playing - consider buying, that will show developers that people want more, and who knows what will happen next.
Steam is not the only gaming platform in the world.
I have 373 games on Steam, I have about 15-20 on GoG, I have a handful on EA and Ubisofts online stores. That's just for PC gaming, I also own a bunch of console games in both physical and digital formats.
Regardless, the argument that brought about his 3000 games comment was a terrible one anyway. It ignores the above, isn't relevant to begin with, and by the same logic you could claim them having 1000 + games on Steam means they're a no-lifer using their fathers credit cards. It's an asinine stance and adds nothing to the conversation, I'd have expected a German furry to be less likely to throw stones from his glass house. Gaming isn't my only hobby, thus it isn't the only thing I spend my money on, it's a similar case for many people. Not owning a ridiculous amount of games (most of which will never be played) does not mean a person has a low income or no job.
I used to have a mint condition Spectrum ZX 128K +2, it was in the original box and everything. My mother came across it in her attic a few years back and threw it out because it was "old junk" without contacting me about it first. I could have cried at the time tbh. She didn't seem to understand that I'd have happily taken the trip to see her and pick it up if she'd just called. lol
My badge says that - great
as i said before i have pretty much most games for every console aside from ps3-4 xbox1 and360
Im a gamer, not a PC only gamer
Also i dont see how anyone can defend this when none of the games are even in full screen. If crapcom are that lazy to not even do that then why bother? D and D isnt exactly a great port by them either
+ Can be played either ONLINE with others players or OFFLINE as single player or co-op.
+ REAL Classic OldSchool Game Quality
+ Price wasn't calculated as per each game hence players may value them diversely, but still Good Bundle for the total price!
+ - I personally forcast that they may soon release their best beat 'em ups which are The Punisher and Cadillac Dinosaurus with a reasonable price exclusively, and add the new games into bundle. ( DLC )
+ Art Work.
??? Providing with great potential for creating and developing a beat-em-up , oldschool gaming and arcade game fans community on PC.
- Control buttons are not optimized, but games are fundementally playable.
+ In my experience, via options one may customize the graphics and play games between 800x600 and 1080x1920 either on window or fullscreen mode.
Result : The price might loook expensive for those who did not need to travel to another city and wait for long hours at the shopping center in order to purchase the game casette in 90s. Steam certainly makes it easier and great appreciation for CAPCOM's business step on this.
WHAT ARE WE FIGHTING FOOOOORRRRR!!!????
Mame is tedious to get set up kinda and network play requires an external program ♥♥♥♥ the "legalness" of it all it's a pain in the asss to even get working.
