I want to dance.

Synth Riders is a fun game but it doesn't make you dance. It's just more or less following balls with your hands.
In the game 'Audio trip' they get over this by spacing the targets in such a way as to get you dancing, if not a little to fast.
I wish Synth riders was more like this. Having balls spaced in such a way to encourage you to actually move and dance and not just follow lines of balls with your hands.

I'm looking into this game either on quest or link, but to your question Dance Collider has me squating some while moving my arms, I feel like I'm kind of dancing.

I really really really appreciate Dance Central VR for being a rhythm game that is about actually dancing at the end of the day. The downside to that game is I don't think there's any custom content, but what is there is really fun, and theres a surprisingly engaging story mode too. I think it's only on the Oculus store though

And that's what I am trying to discover. What exactly is Synth riders? There are times when you come to a section that has you dance but for the most part you stand there with hands in front of you following lines of balls. I just wonder what the point of the game is?

I get it now. You need to play on hard or above for the game to come into it's own. It then becomes a challenge and you are able to dance around a little.
I am so use to games were easy is hard I was sticking to easy and normal and that's why I wasn't getting anything out of the game.

Yeah I was finding it kind of boring. But after I stuck it on hard Ka-Boom! It was a lot of fun.

Even though the game doesn't require dancing, i like going all out on dancing. You'll really break a sweat that way. If you want to see examples of someone dancing, check out my channel VirtualMichigander!

Changed my review to reflect my findings. Can't believe I was missing out on a good game over such a simple thing like difficulty level.
They should write it on the box. "Must be played on hard + for maximum Ka-pow effect" :)

most games like this tend to be more fun on harder modes, more notes, more things to hit, etc. i find i cant enjoy beat saber unless its on hard or expert.
