How to get GFWL Achievements

Can I still get achievements and play via games for windows live? I have an xbox and don't wanna miss that gamerscore:D

i think us xbox gamers were the only ones with any upside to games for windows live, but no i don't think you can anymore. it's a shame but pc games are much much better off without it.

If you have the retail disc installed you can still connect to GFWL and still earn gamerscore. I just finished the campaign myself today ;) I've activated my retail code and have it sitting in my Steam library uninstalled because I'm not sure if letting it install will affect my current BS2 install? I don't know how it works if you bought from Steam though, sorry.

do you think if i download an older version, i can earn achievements too ? (with cd key of steam)
i think GfWL is better for gamers than steam. (apart from community hub, trade, etc.)On LIVE you have the gamerscore, which shows how much games are worth to you. Steam level just shows how much money you have and achievements are worthless (and hackable).

He means there is software, where you can give yourself any achievement for any game you own on Steam without earning it.

I know, SAM, I myself use it when I encounter a glitched achievement, the links I provided are more along the lines of "Hey, here's something that works pretty much like an underground gamerscore".

It's shocking that I have been banned from other forums just for mentioning the word piracy. Yet the moderation team find it acceptable for you to not only advocate piracy but openly admitting to aspiring to download illegal software..

It shows just how inadequate and incompetent the moderation team is.

Of course it's piracy. All you own is a licence to play the game on steam. If you owned a physical copy of the game, the lines would be slighly more blurred. But as it stands downloading an illegal copy of the game is nothing but piracy.

No he wouldnt because the .exe from an old version wouldnt work with the new one. Plus there more to GFWL than the .exe. You can't take a Steamworks game, swap the .exe and magically transform it into a GFWL one.

So, I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. With the new update to Bioshock 2, there is no way for me to use my XBL gamertag and obtain gamerscore without owning a physical copy of this game? If that's the case it means I should have gotten around to this ages ago when I bought it. Beat it a few times on Xbox, just never got around to it on here.
