Crash When Buying Incinerate Plasmid

The game runs smoothly on high Graphics, but when I go to buy the Incinerate Plasmid. It just closes out. I can buy the health upgrade and the EVE link upgrade just fine, but when I buy Incinerate and am about to equip to a slot, the game just closes. I do not get any kind of error. I tried running in DX9 mode with no change, I also tried changing the configurations settings, but that still didn't work. I really like this game and any help would be appreciated! :)

It sounds like it's crashing when it tries to bring up the video that plays when you purchase the plasmid. The only thing I know of that would cause that specifically, is a corrupted game file.

I would try verifying the integrity of the game cache and see if it has any files fail and redownloads them. To do that, go to properties for the game and one of the tabs will have a button "Verify Integrity of Game Cache". It'll chug or a bit and hopefully that will fix the problem for you.

I tried everything in that crashing of Bioshock 2 solved article and that did not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I was able to get past buying the incinerate plasmid, but now it crashes completely randomly.
