If you've tried everything else, and Bioshock 2 crashes yet, try this
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, go to 'Control Panel', 'Program', 'View installed updates', make a
try the following update of the platform:
KB2670838
If you have this installed, right-click on this update in the search results and click on 'Uninstall'.
Bioshock 2 has gone from crashing constantly / Random to run perfect for hours.
I had tried everything else I found on google this problem, changing the ini files etc, etc.
note that you will need to restart Windows after uninstalling this update.
This only applies to Windows 7 and earlier versions of Windows, if necessary, but this will not work on Windows 8 and 8.1.
I had to use a translator to read and respond to your post, I can not read or write Italian, I hope that the translation is used.
thanks for your comment but i don't have this file i have the following file
KB2565063
i'm trying to respond you in english but i don't speack english very well because i am an italian boy hahahah
Only the hotfix that is listed for Windows 7 is valid in this situation . what you listed seem to be a security update for Visual Studio 2010 , that the removal will have no effect on Bioshock 2 , you keep crashing anyway , Thanks to try English, but if this is difficult for you , is not a big deal for me to use a translator .
so you have a idea for fix this bug ?
If your Windows 7 , then go through my instructions listed in my first post , if your running something older , that hotfix might not be listed , if the windows running 8 or 8.1 , that hotfix is integrated into Windows and can not be uninstalled , if this is the case , the best you'll ever be able to do is go to the properties for Bioshock 2 steam , go to " launch options sET " , then type " -dx9 " (minus the quotes ) , the game should run then , if still does not work correctly , try uninstalling and reinstalling the game , you should also check that your hardware meets the specifications listed minumum for the game , you can also make sure your video drivers are updated .
you are a genius hahaha now bioschock 2 run currectly thank you very much really very very much
Happy to help!
