Bioshock MMO
Now... Hear me out. I'm very drunk at the moment, and was reminiscing about bioshock, as many of us on this forum do haha.
What if... In a perfect world, we were given a bioshock mmo game? Like an open world rapture where we make our own charters with our own Adam powers and we contribute to the rapture in different ways, almost like a GTA online kinda deal.

I'm drunk so idk probably stupid idea, but wouldn't that go crazy? LOL

i had the same idea when i was a kid, it would be very cool ,two factions Ryan and Fontaine During rapture civil war, maybe some classes like houdini , melee, and spider etc.
I had the same idea years ago and started a huge thread on the old 2K forums about it, the possibilities are endless with this idea and it would be a huge hit if it was done right for sure
i luv u guys fr, i'm so glad i'm not alone on this thought.
it would be amazing but considering how long its taking them to make the new bioshock game it'd take atleast 30 years to make an mmo
true true..

As interesting an idea as this is, I still see it quite confining as Rapture is a finite city. The only "open world" that can be expanded upon is the ocean floor. There are lots of buildings but still nothing quite as large as modern cities in overall expanse. Other than being able to explore door to door, floor by floor, not really sure how an MMO would really function with this game. At least with games like Fallout you had breathable air open world areas giving more room for expansions.

Is it taking place before or after the fall? Buildings have been flooded after the fall, so it would ultimately be more limited in space. And no new buildings would be built after the fall for "expansions". Then there would be maintenance of the servers and monthly subscriptions for such. As much as I love the games, I don't see a huge following for an MMO. More single player, and maybe multiplayer coop/deathmatch styles like Bioshock 2 had would be more likely. But you're free to dream. If you can come up with the idea and can pull it all together, pitch it to an investor or fund it yourselves.
