Is this a scary/horror game?
I kinda started backwards. Just finished Bioshock infinite, was wondering if Bioshock 2 is a horror?

It kind of is, but once you get use to the rapture citizens, its not that scary at all. Once awhile you'll get a surprise when one jumps you from behind. In general, its not that bad.

No it's not horror. The splicers in the game and the general decay of Rapture are kinda creepy but i wouldn't classify it as horror. Ultimately you'll have to be the judge.

Horror? You'll be playing as Big Daddy...little Big Daddy with nasty drill, bunch of plasmids and even more weapons... What could possibly get you so scared?

Yes. If you're not prepared, that is scary.

THe game can be very intense. If you want it to be eerie/creepy, then keep the music on - the music and sound effects, along with shadow play, reeeally makes the game creepy.

:hmm: Maybe just 3 to 4 scary moments in my playthrough, other than that, it's mostly an action shooting/drilling game

The only scary moments in this series IMO was the first large area (not intro) for the original Bioshock. Might be that you get used to the "scares" because they seem predictable after a few of them. But certainly nothing is ever scary enough that someone should skip any of these games

The only places that scared me in a BioShock game were the water jumpscare in BioShock 1, and the first Houdini Splicer encounter.
