Reset Boss Level?

Can the Boss level be reset at any point, or does he permanently get stronger? I feel like the game won't be as fun down the road if he gets his level maxed and stays that hard forever.

Doesn't reset but I think they're considering it for a future patch

I agree, part of the fun is getting better at the game, but you cannot really enjoy it since the boss stops you more easily than before. I think it would make sense to encounter 0, 1, 2, 3? each run through? (same I guess for specials that appear from time to time)
Makes the runs longer, which might not speak to everyone, make it an option would be best as to keep developers vision and allow this as well?

I think it would be more resonable for it to go like this: The boss gets stronger everytime you face him...while you are still ALIVE. If you die, he gets reset to level 1, so the progression smooths out.

I already see posts about people having trouble with level 4. It would be a problem if he becomes so difficult getting past the first wave becomes a massive chore to do.

If you have to cycle the boss 5 times to meet his max level, then this creates another problem: you can’t practice against him as often, and it’s more frustrating to meet him at max level since he will kill you many times while you keep wasting all the time it takes to get there each and every time.


With the current design of the game, I was able to face him many times within a short span of time, and now I can almost consistently win (4 out of 5 encounters).

I am not saying that he is fine, there is clearly something unfair with his last move, but be careful what you wish for, it may not make the experience better.

I've faced him enough times to have had a good amount of practice against him so I'm pretty efficient against him now. That being said, it can still be frustrating during his first encounter because of his recovery times. This makes the fight drag out for several minutes occasionally and I personally feel that the first encouter shouldn't be that difficult to get past. I've already stated this but, I also feel that he should level up throughout your current run and not have an overall max level.
