Shift+Tab locks movement

So this had happened a couple of times now and its starting to bug me. Everytime I go to open a padlock/safe/Medallion point and open up the steam overlay it randomly locks my movement and won't let me press any buttons. I can still use my mouse just fine and only a select few buttons on my keyboard work (shift+tab, ESC, Ctrl+alt+delete,alt+F4) but everything else doesn't respond so it forces me to close the game completely via alt+f4 which means any progress I made up until that point gets lost.

Does anyone else have this problem and if so is there a way to fix this?.

I have ran into the issue aswell, so I dont use the steam overlay anymore. I have not found a fix unfortunatly. Just letting you know you're not the only one experiencing this problem.

have u tried changing the steam hotkeys to brinup steam ui? i have mine set to + key on numpad and i my son run into the issue so he now using same keybinding and not had the issue since

No I haven't tried that yet, I'll give it a go next time I start of RE2. Thanks for the suggestion.
