Please, help! :)
Ironically I also have a GTX 760, and I run windows 10. Perhaps the issue is related to to the GTX 760.
I also downloaded the latest Nvidia drives, but to no avail.
i deduce that fatal crash for me, was because of some HDR lighting bloom effect. It doesn't look as good as it should now with the lower graphics but... game plays 100% now.
Unfortunately, none of these options worked. I can't even unselect DirectX 11 in RE2, and NVidia was already my preferred graphic's processor.
I set my graphics quality all the way to the worst possible setting, but I still crash at the same spot every time without fail.
Well I was having the same difficulties. The game was constantly crashing after first cut scene.
For me the only working working solution was Nvidia Geforce Experience.
Just launch it, pick Resident Evil 2 and optimize the game.
In my case GFExp set game settings to the lowest possible.
Right now I'm able to play without crashes.
The funny thing is that in game You're able to change graphics settings to highest levels and it will still works like a charm.
Just give it a try
