P.S My system: i7-4770 | Gigabyte H87M | GTX 670 2Gb | 16 Gb ROM | Windows 10 2018 November Update |
what were the hints?? how did you fix this?
Iam changes my FPS lock to 30 and now can see anything...oh yeah
I set in the settings 60 FPS lock, vsync on (my gsync on too + 144hz monitor)
I turned off or reduced in the settings "Depth of Field", "Lens Flare", "Particle Lighting Quality", "Screen Space Reflections", "Subsurface Scattering"
It became much more pleasant to play
Try playing with the settings and see what the effect will be.
Try setting values as specified by the author:
The graphical settings seem to influence this, for example:
- 90% quality + 60fps lock, normal brightness
- 100% + 60fps, turns dark slowly
- 100% + 30fps, normal brightness
- 100% + variable fps, unplayable dark
- 90% + variable fps, turns dark slowly
- 50% + variable fps, normal brightness
- 100% + 60fps + ambient occlusion=off, normal brightness
changing to DirectX12 also turns the brighness to an unplayable dark
P.S Indeed, I think there are a lot of bugs with graphics. We are waiting for the patch
Lol what specs are you playing at? You may have to edit some stuff on your rig if your having these issues...maxed settings and high refresh rate here and not having any issue, only thing i had a bug with is the first computer blackout screen which is a simple re_config.ini change
Settings for people experiencing darkness bugs;
Screen Space Reflections: Off (Helps shadow performance on some rigs)
V-Sync On (I believe this helps keep the ambient lighting from going out of wack, bug)
Additional steps (not required)
Frame Rate: 60 or 30 for older hardware (Potentially frees up cpu with FPS lock)
Volumetric Lighting Quality: Low (This setting looks a lot more bright)
Shadow: Medium (Medium has the most bright appearance but some quality)
Film Noise: Off (More clarity also coiuld affect brightness, performance with no graphical loss)
In the end though I ended up increasing Shadow to High, VLQ to High so the game looks pretty good just missing those amazing reflections. Rest of the settings I reccomend tailoring yourself especially in the early state of the game.
Don't forget to check that driver settings aren't conflicting in nvidia or amd. Also update if outdated.
I confirm, it really helps to fix the problems with dimming / brightness
