Ray Tracing implementation was terrible anyway

I am glad they fixed the issue even if I do not use ray tracing cause I like the old school feel more and my frame rate, I do use the sound feature for Dolby cause my headset supports it, (So in the future CAPCOM you should really test better or get better Quality personal!!! IMO)

I would show what I get on my 3080 but I'm away at the moment and using a spare 1080p 60hz monitor (and it's making me want to vomit from my eyes after being used to a 1440p 165hz lol) but as far as I can remember the drop in FPS wasn't that severe. drivers up to date? (you probably are but just checking)

I played both Resident Evil 2 REMAKE and Resident Evil 3 REMAKE on PS4 PRO @60FPS and now going from that 60FPS to 120FPS I can not go back even for ray tracing just the feel and look is a no way for me @60FPS :) Same goes for many other games I play :)

I hate the DX12 version's oversharpened look so much. Why has TAA been broken in every release since Village?

Yeah, this pretty much confirms what I said before: huge performance impact.

I'd say that's a pretty good result really. I normally cap my games at 120 FPS anyway to keep temps down with spring here. But in other areas it shoots up really high if I don't.

I'm more concerned a 4070ti isn't beating an undervolted 3080ti in performance.

Curious, since the 40 series lose like, 5% max performance undervolted. I wonder if just a bad silicon for ya? Could be the game too, but many don't have 3DMark to compare. A Port Royal or Speed Way test to compare vs my results, could see if it's the game really having issues.

Keep in mind that 4070 Ti has only 192-bit memory bus. My memory is overclocked by +1800 to counteract the lower core clock that is running at 2700 MHz. The combined performance is pretty much on pair with stock 4070 Ti.

So should technically be 30%+ higher above my FPS. Due to the newer RT core architecture etc.

Frankly I'd be more concerned with why your 40 series card is losing more performance than it should when enabling ray tracing.

Regardless: It still fixes the crap SSR implementation.

I didn't factor that in, there is no way of counteracting bus width, yeah you can make the ram faster but it still isn't going to be anywhere near what a wider bus can push through, the card might have enough grunt but it can't reach its potential due to that bottleneck

You'll see, that a 3090TI, gets around 120-140 FPS with RT on, but only 20-30 more FPS with it off.

So, when RT is disabled, is something being loaded wrong? TExtures break with RT off? Something wonky? Or is it just that room where it shoots up that high without RT?
