I don't know what is happening, because it's definitely not dx11 version, since it works in dx12 and does not have DirectX version selection option.
And it all happens right after they announced that there will be no further updates for old version, not changes in a new one.
RE4 on consoles just got a patch that greatly improved performance and image quality, while PC got a mercenaries mode with downgraded visuals and broken shadow rendering. It also performs worse than it did at launch...
Yes, that is what I'm saying. If you revert to old dx11+dx12 without ray tracing it works as expected and API version selection is available.
So it's not that they uploaded older version instead of a current, they broke (well, damaged?) the current version.
I really hate the SSR implementation on this game.
Guess I'll wait another 10+ years before buying anything capcom. :D
The 3d audio implementation was functionally broken. Binaural is substantially better for headphones.
