Weird aura/outline around player character/objects in the RPD Main Hall.
I've only been playing this game on my Steam Deck and just noticed that there's this weird outline/aura around the player and some objects while staring at specific angles/directions. Not sure if it's been like this before as I've never noticed it in my last playthroughs. Thought it was just issues with my Steam Deck but it's also visible on my PC after double checking. Any ideas what's causing it? Or is it currently a visual bug? Only noticed it so far in the Main Hall.

Screen Space Reflections. It's been like that since the introduction of REngine. The worst offenders are RE7 and REmake2, only way to fix it is to use the super taxing almost useless RayTracing which looks alright at some scenes.

If you have AMD, don't even bother, the performance is miserable. Just turn it off if it bothers you that much, or if you have NVIDIA, you can try the RayTracing.

However you won't be able to use some Mods/BioRand2 on RT Version.
Most recent games have that problem with Screen Space Reflections, mostly near water where the scene is reflected. REmake2 has the entire station floor polished up.

You might just turn it off. To me, it wasn't worth a mixed bag.

Gotcha. Well RayTracing is out of the question on the Deck, lol. But it's mostly only noticeable in the Hall and sometimes slightly in some spots with water like you've explained. Unfortunate but definitely something I can ignore. Thanks for the info.
