Having trouble launching RE2 on Windows 10 (Help me fix this)
The game wont even open up for me, i press play and a second later it closes. It all started when i upgraded to a much better gaming pc. I have checked the game files and it says that MFReadWrite.dll & MFPlat.DLL are missing from the files....i googled, watched videos even asked chat gpt and they all give me the same answer. It says i need to install something called Windows Media Feature Pack, which is not installed by deafult. The problem is that idk how to install it or even find where to install it. Its a real bummer because i really like the resident evil series....but i'll have to refund them if i dont find a solution.

Crappy Windows 10 version. Who the hell pays for Windows N Edition? Eh.

Just google: "Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 N Edition"
There is a package to download, after install, reboot the PC, and enjoy the game.
You can even download them via Windows Update.

Nope.
Behold! The power of going to Microsoft's official support site rather than asking an unreliable AI:

How to get the update

The Media Feature Pack for Windows 10/11 N is available for download as an Optional Feature. Here’s how to install the Media Feature Pack:

On Windows 10 N: Select , then select > Apps > Apps and Features > Optional features > Add a feature. Find the Media Feature Pack in the list of available optional features.

On Windows 11 N: Select , then select > Apps > Optional features. Select View features next to Add an optional feature, and then select the Media Feature Pack in the list of available optional features.
I have tried this and i've only reached the "Apps and Features" part, i see no optional features whatsoever.
