after five months and hundreds of hours I'm done with enhancing the backgrounds of Resident Evil 2 beyond what was available before. You can see comparisons with the Seamless HD Project here:

This mod is beautiful, congratulations, it's a shame about the low poly models, nothing can be done to improve them, these beautiful hd backgrounds with the low poly models look like a 50% remaster unfortunately

This is amazing, thank you very much for this mod.

Although I appreciated the Seamless HD Project intent, I never played with it because I didn't like how it made the backgrounds look so "plastic" and watered down, pretty much killing the game's atmosphere.

The way RE:Enhance upgrades the HD while restoring all the backgrounds sharpness and detail is fantastic. Now I'm finally sticking with the PC version for good

Wow good work. I never really like the SHDP mod because it made everything look too clean and removed the grittyness that made everything feel more real. This is a lot better looking.
