wow, what an amazing game!
I just finished it and boy, what an experience.

The game is just on point. Compared to RE0 and RE1, it's perfectly balanced. I went through the areas slower and more careful than the previous games yet still confident I can survive and I am not going to run out of ammo or die in a cheap way. At the same time infinite saves served more to save time than anything else, doubt I used many more saves than the first game.

All that allowed me to enjoy the action part of the game by using all weapons and also appreciate the graphics and atmosphere. The puzzles were not from the island of Myst, and I liked the story and the characters, kinda bothers me that 7 and 8 won't have them but oh well.

All in all, an amazing game. I will definitely play with Claire at some point, while I doubt I'll go back to RE1 and definitely not going back to RE0. These games would be so much better as remakes the RE2 way.

As for survivors, it was a joke and what made the first games bad in the first place. A puzzle, trial and error on how to save ammo so u might move forward and hope you didn't have to save even more ammo or take the wrong path. I am glad I didn't insist on playing it without training, as there were times that even in training I would die and restart.

Well, time for 3. And then 4. And then all up to 8.

I disagree with Re1 needing another remake, but zero could certainly benefit from a similar touch up with its archaic systems. It's good you are liking the series so far, but be warned that RE3 is a step down from 2. You might be slightly disappointed at the Linearity.

The 2002 remake is as good as it gets really.

That's fine as long as it's immersive. I think the real "dissapointment" will come with 0 remaked revelations, 5 and 6, but hey I went through 0 so how bad can it be. Not that I didn't like 0, I liked the setting and atmosphere a lot, just the gameplay was annoying.

Imagine that mansion with RE2 exploration, it would be awesome. I am very pro atmosphere in games and with great audio and visual, and walking through that part on the second floor with the lickers and the broken window was probably my favorite place in the game.

I think every game would benefit by going the RE2 way, the pace is unreal, you can enjoy and appreciate the whole thing.

Hopefully 0/1 get a remake in this style at some point. I'd happily play that where as I doubt I'll ever play the fixed camera versions again.

I loved this one, but I couldn't ever fault Remake. It shines even unto this day.
