Well, it works pretty damn perfectly and it's awesome.
When even the devs don't clamor for quality then it's up to the real resident evil fans.
I love me the original games, but its true that the fixed camera angles and tank controls can get really janky in some places. And just like when they tried first person, I believe their reasoning for saying "it wont work" is because they didn't like the idea of not being able to fully observe such iconic characters.
Getting fixed camera angles in a mod is really cool and probably fun for a romp. But its not as big of an industry own as some people here are making it out to be.
Even putting the original one as bonus content should be great.
This mod allows you to see all kinds of details that are completely missed in OTS though and the lighting is phenomenal. A classic design would have had the B scenario and zapping system, both of which were cut.
Only bad thing about it is that it can get clunky when trying to target an enemy's weak spot. It sometimes auto-aims to their heads and bosses yellow eyeballs, but when the fixed camera swaps position and they're off camera you cant really tell
There are so many small details with zombies and the environment you completely miss with the standard OTS. The lighting is better with the mod too.
