RT (DX12) or original version (DX11)?
Which version is better to use? The YouTube video doesn't really show the difference. :laughing_yeti: I have RT cores on my card

Thanks. I understood from the video that there are performance issues on lower-end systems and developer issues. It's not so important for me to drop 20 fps, but I don't understand whether it's worth using a ray tracing patch or not.
I have an RTX 3070 Ti/ i7 10700/2k
Oh ok. Understood. A good while back I reverted to the dx11 beta because my personal experience with the dx12 version wasn't worth what felt like an overall loss in the presentation quality. I can run the game just fine with a 5800x3d and 7900xtx. Honestly I feel like it's one of those each to their own scenario's where you may need to try both versions and see what suits your taste the best. Your specs seem to indicate you have some freedom to run either just fine. However you will likely see a significant performance hit with RT on, and the graphical improvement over performance loss is hardly justifiable imo.

Depends how much capcom's absolutely terrible screen space reflections in non-rt bother you.

God knows they bother me.

It's been while since I ran the dx12 version, maybe I will revisit it for a sanity check.
There were problems with DX12 a couple of years ago but it may have been fixed now.

Is there a fix for the broken AA in the RT version? I downloaded it for the first time in a while after reverting back to DX11 and all of the AA settings don't do anything. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jagged edges and shimmering EVERYWHERE playing in 4K on a 3090.

The shimmering may actually be a side effect of the weird bloom implementation. Really noticeable on the trees outside the orphanage.

I would say the original version is way better. That said, do you guys have motion blur problem in next gen version? I have set it to off but still it's blurry when I'm changing directions. It's one of the reasons why I prefer the dx11 version.

Modding then DX11
Don't mod then DX12 clean up some visual. RT is not worth it however. Also like some has said performance may varied between the 2.
