Why doesn’t Mr. X Run?

This is a question that always bothered me is that why doesn’t Mr. X run towards their targets?

I mean, if he’s really dedicated on taking out Leon and Claire, why can’t he just sprint towards them and drop kick them instead of just walking and swing his punches at them which is easily dodged?

Because when Mr. X is far away from Leon and Claire, he starts speed walking, but once he’s near his target, he starts to slow walk. WTF is the point?!???? Why can’t he just run like Nemesis from RE3?

Is he trying to be scary?

Does he have asthma?

Is he trying to mock Leon and Claire of their running speeds?

Is he trying to be Michael Myers?

Is he purposely letting them escape?

Probably something related to the limiter Tyrants have. Notice when he loses the coat at the end of the game, he starts running.

The closest thing to him running is when he’s charging up his attack to insta kill Leon.

The coat he wears isn't just a coat. It's a "limiter coat". Keeps their power restrained and keeps them from mutating farther. The lack of running may be a facet of that.

Realistically it's because of gameplay, but lore-wise yeah I think it's Umbrella limiting Tyrants (maybe after what happened with the Nemesis? Not entirely sure).

It is just following Goku's example. When it get serious, it just drop the 20 ton coat. The hat is just 5 ton, that's why it walks faster when you shoot it.
