RE framework doesnt work anymore?
Hey all. I noticed that whenever I try to use reframework with re2r the game simply crashes upon initialization or framework doesnt start at all. I read that the devs put in checks upon game launch to stop the use of this mod, but I am unsure if this is true. Can anyone provide anymore info on this issue?

You talking for VR? I've tried getting Pray Dogs VR mod to work, nothing happens when I launch the game.

Did you make sure to get the newest version from github not something someone posted in a steam guide?

I dunno if you're talking to OP, but I was trying to use the non ray tracing edition, and a mod menu is supposed to pop up once you open the game, but nothing opened, nor did pressing insert help.

I was addressing both of you, really.

The ray tracing and non ray tracing versions of the games use different versions of re framework. You have to be sure to download the correct one. Thus why I asked if you got it from praydog's github..

Yes, I got from PrayDog Github.

Okay, did you get the right version from the github? There's two different builds for RE2.

went to github. Not...toootally sure if it was the right one. I dled a REframework master. But the d8input.dll just ....well as I said...either crashes after a couple of opening screens (initilization) or it just fails to initiate at all. In the latter, the game runs like normal.

Pretty sure. 1.4 I believe is the latest?

I got it to work, but every time I get it to load up the Mod Menu, and it configures the screen Ratio, it crashes..

You need to be sure of which version you download.

RE2.zip is for the newer ray traced build. RE2_TDB66.zip is for the non ray tracing version of the game.

Yeah, I downloaded the right version, it just doesn't like running for some reason.

Maybe anyone has an answer for this issue ? After launching RE2 or Re3 using the latest & correct version from preydog github Non-RT VR, all was working fine in VR till the very next day launching both games I get an error "REframework error an exception has occurred during initialization" the games wont load in VR anymore, anyone have a solution or a reason why this is happens ??

You have to change the res 2 game version in steam to non ray-tracing version witch is not the current one. go to steam library right click bring up properties, go to betas tag, click on the drop down menu, change version to dx11_non-rt. this changes to game version to non ray-tracing version. the install RE2_TDB66. that should work

It has been in this version for some time. I have a feeling I simply didn't install the appropriate version of framework.
