In fact, in the original there was no flirting or sexual frustration between them at all, and now that there is in the remake, it certainly seems like capcom is hinting there might've been more there. Plus they're both young and attractive, makes sense.
Unless we talk about game and anime with 20-50- years timeskips where you play as a child of canon pairing, That happens albeit rarely.
It's fakkin stupid, they might aswell not hint at it so fraggin hard then imo
And yeah the remake really didn't nail the story too great, i mean I like this game, but its missed alot of the char interactions, I would have atleasted like Claire A and Leon B playthhrough to be properly represented :(
no Ada is just a cocktease, Leon and Claire have the potential for having an actual normal relationship but leon has an obsession with getting cucked by the woman known for just using her charms to get what she wants.
No wonder I was like wtf is shipping?
Leon & Claire would make a rather boring couple - it would be healthier than Leon/Ada, sure, but the fact Ada has Leon's head spinning like a lost puppy for most of the franchise should tell you that he/they are more into the forbidden relationship (ie. goody-two-shoes 'save the world' hero who was a cop / becomes a government agent, attracted to the seductive super-spy with questionable motives who does whatever it takes to get what she wants, with no clear alignment and who obviously [at least initially] used Leon - though Leon did thaw her ice-queen persona).
So no, I don't ship Leon and Claire because to do so would be the most predictable and boring path to take for both characters. They didn't go as shmaltzy in RE2-R about Leon/Ada but the tone is still the same, so it looks like further remakes will very likely stick with Leon being unable to get over Ada.
