"shipping" Leon & Claire?
So I don't know if this has already been asked but....do you guys "ship" Leon and Claire? Throughout the game there seems to be some attraction (and the "true ending" adds a little extra). I think they'd make a nice couple!

That would work if they actually interacted with each other like in original. This time they talk 2 times and thats it.

Theres a good chance they got together for awhile, nothing in the established canon contradicts this being a possibility as theres a large gap for them both before they show up again. and even though we know a lot of what leon was doing before RE4, theres still plenty of time after RE2 where him and claire could've been rocking the boat before seperating.

In fact, in the original there was no flirting or sexual frustration between them at all, and now that there is in the remake, it certainly seems like capcom is hinting there might've been more there. Plus they're both young and attractive, makes sense.

I don't know when they was talking through the gate to each other it seemed like they known each other for years, yet they just met.

Well Remake manages to have worse writing than 20 years old game.

All I care about is that Chris and Jill have been clearly more romantically interested in eachother for years now, they are nearly 50 and they still haven't even ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

japanese storyteling 101. Main characters never ♥♥♥♥. Everyone else do but not main character and their support cast.
Unless we talk about game and anime with 20-50- years timeskips where you play as a child of canon pairing, That happens albeit rarely.

And yeah the remake really didn't nail the story too great, i mean I like this game, but its missed alot of the char interactions, I would have atleasted like Claire A and Leon B playthhrough to be properly represented :(

no Ada is just a cocktease, Leon and Claire have the potential for having an actual normal relationship but leon has an obsession with getting cucked by the woman known for just using her charms to get what she wants.

Ship is an abbreviation for relationship and is commonly used by teenagers when texting. It is also used as a verb as shipping when wanting two people to get into a relationship. While the abbreviation could refer to a plutonic relationship it is commonly used to refer to a romantic relationship.

No wonder I was like wtf is shipping?

They're not interested in each other and have not shown to be in any related game, media or franchise entry. As far as I remember, Claire was already spoken for during these events. The only thing they have in common is that they're both obnoxiously young and attractive characters with a good moral compass that happened to both survive a literal hell. That's about as far as Leon/Claire go, friends with a zombie-infested history who work indirectly together.

Leon & Claire would make a rather boring couple - it would be healthier than Leon/Ada, sure, but the fact Ada has Leon's head spinning like a lost puppy for most of the franchise should tell you that he/they are more into the forbidden relationship (ie. goody-two-shoes 'save the world' hero who was a cop / becomes a government agent, attracted to the seductive super-spy with questionable motives who does whatever it takes to get what she wants, with no clear alignment and who obviously [at least initially] used Leon - though Leon did thaw her ice-queen persona).

So no, I don't ship Leon and Claire because to do so would be the most predictable and boring path to take for both characters. They didn't go as shmaltzy in RE2-R about Leon/Ada but the tone is still the same, so it looks like further remakes will very likely stick with Leon being unable to get over Ada.
