Yes, it is. This game is still $40 on US Steam. People circumvent that buy using a VPN to buy it in other markets where it is laughably cheap in USD. Capcom is far from the only developer having this problem, or raising their prices in response.
But it is their newest, most expensive games is it not? What I said is absolutely true coupled with the fact that different currencies fluctuate in their value against the USD. Regional pricing is something that is offered to help gamers in countries with less valuable currency... however it is fairly easy as an American to use a VPN to purchase games for dirt cheap by abusing regional pricing.
First off Valve isn't losing money at all, they're basically a money-making machine. Secondly they have no control whatsoever of the pricing of Capcom's games. This is just flat-out wrong.
And still even with the "increased" price you guys still pay 50% compared to the EU/US standard lol.
Gaming is not a necessity btw...
Also it's funny you´re saying that because last time Sony increased PS5 titles prices by 10 bucks people went nuts over it, just imagine how big the backlash would be if it was 50 bucks increase.
