DLSS and FSR are just where the graphics are rendered at a higher resolution, then downsampled to the native display resolution using an AI-assisted downsampling; Its suppose to offer better quality but doesn't it they both just blurr ♥♥♥♥ its better to just play at image quality 200% or in 4K and it will forever just simply look better
I will say FSR 1.0 is probably the worst out of them all so you just got even the worse of the worst experience.
You misunderstood FSR and DLSS. The game is internally rendered at a LOWER resolution, then upscaled with algos that try to make the image look as good as the native target resolution, for a fraction of the computation cost.
What you described is the opposite of that, but I understand the confusion because NVidia named it Super Sampling, which used to be a way to antialias by rendering at a higher resolution before downscaling.
It's a good feature for people who don't mind to trade a little image qualiy for a good framerate boost. However, pure performance benchmarks shouldn't rely on it.
False. Its supposed to provide near native resolution quality with an increase in performance, not better then native. Its meant for those using Ray Tracing or trying to squeeze out more frames for high resolutions.
Maybe if you have low end hardware but I don't buy high end GPU's to game at 60fps.
You do indeed. It looks like one of those old machines you look into and scroll past photographs.
As long as it's DLSS 2.0 or 3.0.
FSR 1 IS HORRIBLE. FSR 2.0 is SO much better.
If the game doesn't support FSR 2.0 or DLSS 2.0, it's just better to turn that off then.
The DX11 versions runs perfectly on my shoddy i5-7600K, 1060 6GB OC, and 16 GB DDR4 RAM with an SSD at native resolution of 1080p, with everything at highest apart from Volumetric Lights, those are an FPS killer.
