How to down patch your game now with working dlc

EDIT: The RE team fixed it.

1. Click LIBRARY in Steam client.
2. Right-click the game and select ""Properties...""
3. In the pop-up menu, select ""BETAS""
4. From the pull-down menu, select ""dx11_non-rt"" (Note: password not required)
5. Close the pop-up menu and let the Steam client auto-update the game
6. You should be able to launch the game normally once the update completes
7. Please note some of the in-game option settings will be reset as a result of the rollback process.

Rightclick steam icon and add -console to the end of it restart steam

put this for in the console command should down patch RE2R

Download both combine together and replace the Next gen files done.

You might have to delete your re2_config.ini, Also delete the folder called DLC

The console will tell you the download starts and will tell you when its done it doesnt appear in the steam Downloads area.
To find the folders it will be in the Steam\steamapps\content folder

As for the DLC place the numbered folder in the ROOT of the RE2 Folder

note this only works on the account you own the game with; not an account family sharing the game; You can also still get achievements etc.

THIS IS JUST IF You dont want the game to auto update ever again or you want 2 versions of the game and you want to give steam no write access

it says downloading depot but doesn't appear to be doing anything..

However im at a problem where it appears i will need an older EXE trying to find if an older manifest has one or i can grab one from a friend to put into mega/mediafire

ok just tested this both depot sets combined the game works and is on the 1.05 patch im playing again in D3D11 cause DX12 in this game was indeed not fixed and still stutters
D3D12 works fine in 3 and 7 though for people to have information

The console is just screaming at me that the download failed because of "error writing chunk"
It's saying it can't write the chunk for "re_chunk_000.pak"

this is could be 2 things i could think of
Steam doesnt have admin controls (Right click and run as admin on steam see if that works), you do not have enough space on your Drive or maybe you already have a folder there that needs to be deleted and retried. if none of those work I'm clueless

i tried again to see if it worked and RE2 redownloaded for me so rn its just your end

after you downpatch the game don't you have to turn steam offline else it just updates the game all over again? i'm confused on this part

It will not update again unless capcom pushes out another Patch on top of the new one which you can follow the same steps to just down patch again.
