well, because that is what you're saying. The lack of ammo isn't the issue. The issue is that you're over extending usage of your ammo when you probably shouldn't be. You can't just go shooting everything mindlessly like any other shooting game.
RE2remake is a survival horror. your resources are limited. your options even less at times. And your choices have severe consequences. But it makes it all the more rewarding when you can get through a challenge with restrictions.
If i had to guess though, you probably got stuck fighting the first boss without enough ammo right? if so, then yes, your trigger happy AF because that happened to my friends who tried playing this game like your average shooter.
Oh, yeah! And also ammos in this game are enough, if not more. Unless you play this game like a shooter
use self defense item. using gun is hard in there. They give you 3 second of invicibility, except for tyrant If irrc. But you can use this time to just run from those Ivys.
Personally, I never ran out of ammo at that part. My ammos just enough for it.
Not to mention in this part you get:
- 1 Small Gunpowder
- 2 Large Gunpowders.
- 2 Yellow Gunpowders
- Some Shotgun Bullets / Flame Rounds
- Some Flamehthrower fuels / Sparkshot Cartridges
- 1 Hand Grenade
- 1 Flashbang
- 1 Knife
- 1 Green Herb
- 1 Blue Herb
- 1 Red Herb
There's no way you will run out of ammo with all those crazy resources. Even if you tried to kill those 2 Lickers, you still will left with enough resources -- unless you miss a lot.
You can try get through them with a sub-weapon. If you get grab by those Ivy, use the sub-weapon to escape. Usually a shotgun with a few bullets & 1 or 2 almost broken knife is sufficient.
The game does give you more than enough ammo if you manage it well. I do remember my first few runs ammo is tough in normal difficulty. After you get familiar and manage resources better, you could have a ton of resources left at the end even in hardcore.
