RE2 Game crash in Clock Tower 2nd run from Claire
Hi everybody!
I just got a new CPu and now the game crashes from the point i was before (at the clock tower after i put the wheel in the machine where it lays down a ladder).

The description of the error says "RE2.exe Fatal application exit".
In the command line says also like "createTexture2D failed"

I searched in the Discussions more bugs such as this but i could find none that relate.
Did anyone went to the same bug/issue?

Thanks in advance.
K

P.s.: Happy new year!!!

Nope, no crash at all. It's your rig issue.

I'm having the same issue with a 1060, so you're not alone.

But... that doesn't solve your problem. Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution myself yet.

this error seems to occur very often right now i had it first time trying to skip the start cinematic afterwards when I tried to save the game in the police station and afterwards the game wouldn't start at all and crashes the moment the press start Screen appears.

I'm reinstalling it now in the hope it helps

I already reinstalled it twice, it doesn't work! The issue remains!

a lot of us are having issues with crashes at the moment it seems to be driver related you can either revert your drivers or switch your directx that seems to have fixed it for most people myself included

What do you mean "your rig issue"? Is there a post commenting on specific rigs having these type of issues?

Have this problem also now, always at the same spot, when I wanna open a door. Switching API to DX12 solved the problem for me. RE2 runs a bit choppy now, but at least no crashes at all.

@Ser Rich Of tea, it worked!

I have discovered a solution for me! So hear me out and try this so it may help some people that may have the same problem as me!

Install the NVIDIA Driver "457.30" with a clean instalation by the custom option!

My game crashed every time i used the wheel to make the ladder go down in the clocktower! From here i will try to save and reinstall the lastest driver again to see if any main issues occour again!

That being said, hope i can help someone out too!

Happy new year everyone!
