The outfits are inspired by RE2 Prototype's concept design back in 1997.
You are basing the game's entire character off of a short scene from the trailer where she doesn't even speak and some promo art? That hardly seems fair... at least wait till there is more gameplay or something before making final judgement.
Nothing can be done about that. Capcom wanted non-union VAs. Not a choice I'm q fan of either, but I'm willing to give her new VA a shot. Look how many poor Jill had to go through already...
Again, don't base personality on a single character costume. This is the same girl who ran around in a cowgirl outfit in the original game, remember? Looked silly, but her personality was the same.
No. In Rev2 it's a white shirt + opened jacket with buttons. Whereas in the remake its a black shirt + half opened jacket with zippers. It's also raining heavily in the remake so it makes sense that the characters are bringing more protective clothes.
Capcom said that they didn't take inspiration from 1.5 (or early concept of 2) aside the fact that they've put a tribute via costume to Claire (Elza Walker) and that's about It, now the point Is, shall we trust them? And even so, I LOVED RE2 and I don't really care about RE1.5 I want the Claire I used to know.
And about the fact that It's more a Reboot than a Remake I'm right since the qualification of a Reboot are: changing gameplay, (third camera view to over the shoulders) changing story development (things are going to happen differently, there are going to be more events and more characters), on the other way around a Remaster Is when the original product Isn't touched but they add few things.
We've said the same things in different words. Since I'm really attached to Claire I'm really scared of what we've seen so far but HOPEFULLY the final product will give us the Claire we're used to know.
I think It's safe to say that we all love Claire what I don't understand Is since this game was done expecially for fans why didn't they put those references? The logo of Claire "Made In Heaven" / "Let Me Live" Is so ICONIC.
But whatever created after Capcom decided to hit the reset button and started working towards the final form of RE2 doesn't belong to 1.5. In 1.5 Claire didn't exist, Ada was a researcher (or at least dressed like a researcher), the RPD wasn't a revamped museum, etc.
That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Pure propaganda. Ada's coat, Mr.X wearing a hat, Claire's jacket + black shirt, main hall design its all there in the early concept artbook i posted. I know there's a lot of stupid RE fans but Capcom must think that we are retarded to believe in such "coincidence".
About the "Made in Heaven" outfit. +1 for bringing it back.
They took inspiration from RE2:

I've already tried to explain it a half dozen times before. More than half of all the beta artwork made for RE2 doesn't actually belong to the 1.5 era, it was created after Capcom's decision to restart the project.
