You're posting this on Steam, the only game on Steam is a Remaster, do your own research or post in an appropriate forums, not the wrong ones. + comparing games that are almost 2 decades apart is really dumb, as everything changed, from standards to controls.
RE(1) Remake exists since 2002.

OP's comparisson is totally fair, and in fact a lot of fans agree that the first RE Remake is still definitely the best one. It's the only one that truly captures the original's gameplay and feeling from start to end. RE2 has a good start but basically gives a crap past the RPD. And RE3 is anything but RE3.
