We need a mod to remove Mr X

Mr. X is fantastically scary, and really ratchets up the tension... On the first encounter. Once you figure out hes a rather inept lumbering mass of muscle who has poor tracking on his attacks and doesnt seem willing to move faster than a brisk mosey, the tension dies. It becomes more of a nuisance, an unnecessary roadblock that forces a lengthy detour to go down another path.

Its by far my least favorite part of the game. Every time I hear the footsteps I dont fear dying by his hands, I regret the game derailing my exploration to force me to run around in circles through the labyrinthian police station until the arbitrary amount of time has passed that dictates when he buggers off.

We really need a mod to remove this dude. Anyone agree? Or has this mod already been made?

But I think that is why mr x is so popular.....and he is really a necessary role in a horror game.

Mr. X is around for like 5 minutes per playthrough. That isn't even an exaggeration if you do things in the right order. During those 5 minutes I can effectively ignore him except 2-3x I have to pass him by. Honestly, his implementation and existence in the game is neither a nuisance nor does it serve any point except to brand new players. For me, he effectively doesn't exist.

This post makes no sense. If you can easily avoid Mr X then why do you need a mod? Yes he is annoying, but by that logic you may as well use the mod that eliminates all enemies from the game. At the end of the day every enemy serves the same purpose as Mr X. Their overall goal is to simply act as roadblocks between you and the end of the game. It's a single player experience when all is said and done, and you're free to do whatever, I guess I'm just trying to understand the point.
