I don't think it messed it up. They just changed it on purpose. Most likely to make it different from the other pistols.

Scratch that! actually, the 1998 version did have a silver Lightning Hawk. I was thinking of RE3.

Not to be rude, but didn't RE3 have S&W Magnum which was also silver? I don't remember any black handgun other than M92F which is Samurai Edge. Correct me if I'm wrong :)

I'm honestly confused. I can't really remember which RE had the black "Desert Eagle" Magnum. And you're right. The black semi-auto style gun was a 9mm.

I much prefer the retexture, looks closer to the original. But what I don't get is why they didn't change the upgraded frame's colour too. The original upgrade matched the Magnum's colour, now you have shiny bright silver with a dark black frame on top, looks mismatched.

Maybe RE1 or one of the Revelations? Honestly it's been too long since I've played these games, but RE3 was always a special one for me, for it was the first RE game I have played when I had my PSX... The memories...

RE4, 5 and Revelations had black "magnums" but they were revolvers not desert eagles. The Killer7 magnum in RE4 is a desert eagle but its silver.

All main title magnums from RE1 to Code Veronica are silver. Can't say about Zero, Dead Aim, Survivor and stuff cause i don't remember.

RE7 has a magnum with black barrel but silver grip.

The Killer7 is not a Desert Eagle. It's based off of and references the .45 Longslide from the movie Terminator.

Yeah, but my point is that i don't think there are any black desert eagles in Resident Evil unless its a spin off that i haven't played.
