There's no easy way to get rid of them or dodge them effectively beyond cooking them with Leon's flamethrower.
And remember that there's herbs too near the plugs, so you're settled for both going and return trip.
The third one you can run past it before it gets up. Then when you get Flamethrower/Sparkshot, you can easily kill any G. As you exit the King/Queen passage, use your new weapon on the G to stagger them, then run quickly past them. Flame will stagger, while Spark will most likely 1-shot them, but don't wait, shoot-stagger and run. The final G, just shimmy up the ledge and kite it away from the ladder passage. When it sinks, jump back in and run.
Finally, when you go to the Rook plug, the last G will come out of the pipe. Use whatever remains of your new weapon to kill it.
Oh and btw, I usually kill the very first G by spending ammo into it.
Good luck.
Of course you need a bit of practice to make this with consistency.
Another way is to throw a grenade and then run pass by whilst stun animation. This works wonder when there are two of them close together.
In that particular room with the three you might just try killing the first one you encounter. I believe Dodging the second shouldn't be too bad then, and the third comes out of the pipe and you can be past it before it comes out. I think their positioning is a bit random when you come back but there's a fair chance you don't even encounter them, just the last one hiding after the drop down before you get back to the ladder.
This.
Generally the only exception is that one in Claire's scenarios that just rushes towards you instantly. I personally dont know how to efficiently deal with that one, so I just avoid it.
The one before the workshop room can be run past as it spawned, and usually is at the other end of the area if you decide to go back that way. The three in the goo room can be bypassed, but I dunno how consistent you can do it. Shooting the first one hiding in the water from a reasonable distance and running past it seems to work well. The second one can be bypassed by running to the left (behind it) and around, and the third one can be run past so long as you hug the left.
Ultimately going back after getting the Queen/King plugs may be made somewhat more difficult by this depending on where the three G Adults go after you've avoided them (if you have)
I am following NeoRizer's walkthrough video guide from here on Steam. He mentioned a good strat on the g adults that are resting in the water with their backs exposed. Apparently, if you go near them, shoot them and wait for them to completely rise up, you can run past them. It's very tricky though because if you are too early to run to them, they can get a hold of you.
But Spider pee pee's advice helped a ton! He/She was right about the "rest state" after they grabbed and poisoned you. I just made sure I had red/green/blue herb on my inventory before I did the gauntlet run and it helped alot!
Whenever I got grabbed (once), I would let them just poison me and quickly use the red/green/blue herb then run through them while they are in their "rest state" and that worked wonders. Also, you are protected from poison from the red/blue combo for awhile so you won't be poisoned even if you get grabbed again.
Also, going back, I lured the g adults on the the ledges. If you're up the ledges and they can't get to you, they will have an animation where they will sink down the water. I used this opportunity to drop down while they're sinking down to run past them.
I have 1 hour 38minutes on the clock . I think I should have plenty of time left to do the boss battle and then the lab. I just want to finish before 2hour 30minutes so I can get the infinite ammo submachine gun and rocket launcher. These 2 things will make my future resident evil 2 playthroughs relaxing.
